British Lions
Why are the BBC now calling the british lions, “the british and irish lions”?

I am a bit confused about this, the leftist way of promoting inclusion seems to sometimes contradict itself and promote segregation. Ireland is part of the british isles and I see no reason for this change, unless there is something I can’t see……………………………………….please help!

This is typical of the morons who work in television trying to ingratiate themselves. You are right, Ireland is part of the British Islands. The correct name for the rugby side is the British Lions, but some donkey of a jobsworth somewhere along the line has tried to justify his inflated salary by giving them another name. Or perhaps it’s just ignorance. However it’s a very good question and something that should be brought to peoples attention.
